Boiler grants in Ireland
SEAI does not fund a new replacement oil or gas boiler. A EUR2,000 Boiler Scrappage Grant may apply when qualifying existing heating is replaced by an eligible heat pump.
Direct answer
SEAI does not grant-aid installation of a new oil or gas boiler. Its EUR2,000 Boiler Scrappage Grant instead supports qualifying removal of oil, gas, solid-fuel or electric storage heating during an eligible heat-pump installation. Qualifying homes without central heating may also receive this support under the heat-pump rules; confirm the installation design and SEAI offer. It is not funding for another fossil-fuel boiler.
What may apply instead
- Heating controls grant up to EUR700.
- Heat pump package support up to EUR14,500 for qualifying houses, with central-heating and scrappage components only where applicable.
- Insulation grants that reduce heat demand.
