What support may be available?
The EUR14,500 maximum is for qualifying houses with eligible water-based systems. Equivalent apartment packages reach EUR11,500; air-to-air support reaches EUR9,500 across dwelling types. These are package limits, not extra amounts to add together. The award cannot exceed eligible work costs. The headline maximum can be reached only where the relevant package elements apply. The heat pump system grant, central heating system support and Boiler Scrappage Grant do not apply automatically to every home.

Property requirements
The home needs an MPRN and must have been built and occupied before 2021. A heat pump usually makes sense only when the home can retain heat well enough. SEAI asks applicants to check technical requirements, and older homes may need insulation or other upgrades before a heat pump grant can be approved.

Replacing a heat pump that has never received SEAI domestic grant support has separate limits: up to EUR6,500, or EUR4,500 for apartments, without the central-heating or scrappage components. Confirm the applicable offer with SEAI.
