SEAI wall insulation support depends on your dwelling type and whether the suitable measure is cavity, internal or external wall insulation.

Key facts
- The home must have been built and occupied before 31 December 2010 for insulation measures.
- SEAI requires a whole-surface solution; partial wall insulation is not eligible.
- A previous cavity grant may allow a later internal or external measure; a previous internal grant may allow external insulation only. A previous external grant does not qualify for another wall measure. This does not fund the same work twice.
- External insulation can require ESB Networks service alteration checks.
Enhanced cavity-wall support
The enhanced cavity amounts in the table apply to qualifying welfare recipients or eligible active HAP/RAS properties, subject to SEAI verification. HAP/RAS homes must have been built and occupied on or before 31 December 2010; evidence of the active arrangement may be requested. These higher rates apply to cavity insulation, not automatically to internal or external work.
Check qualifying-payment conditions, use a registered contractor and get approval before starting.
