Attic insulation grant
SEAI attic insulation grants can reduce the cost of roof-space insulation, with higher fixed amounts for eligible first-time buyers, welfare recipients and HAP/RAS properties.

Key facts

Who can receive the enhanced amount?
First-time buyers must have bought an existing eligible home on or after 1 January 2025 and meet SEAI’s declaration and verification rules. For HAP/RAS, the tenancy or arrangement must be active, the home must have been built and occupied on or before 31 December 2010, and evidence may be requested. Participation alone does not override other grant conditions.

No previous attic grant is allowed at the same MPRN. Apartment support requires a top-floor home or roof heat loss directly to the outside. Obtain approval before work starts.
