Warm Homes: Local Grant is an England-only local-authority scheme for eligible low-income private homes with an EPC rating of D, E, F or G.

Who may qualify
The official household route is based on low income, certain benefits or living in an eligible postcode area. GOV.UK says household income must usually be £36,000 a year or less, although higher-income households may still be eligible through the postcode or benefit routes.
How it works
- Use the official GOV.UK service to start the application.
- Your local council usually contacts you for more information.
- If your area has funding and you may qualify, the council arranges a home survey.
- The council decides which improvements are suitable for the home.
- The council organises and pays for the agreed works. Do not arrange works separately expecting reimbursement.
